About the League
Compete in an 8-week Headless Horseman-themed axe throwing league starting September 19th. Challenge yourself in individual and team matches for a chance to win "The Horseman’s Axe" custom pro throwing axe. All skill levels welcome!

League Details
Weekly Matches
Each week, participants will compete in exciting head-to-head matches to see who has the skill, focus, and determination to come out on top. Matches consist of 10 throws per player, with points awarded based on where the axe lands on the target. Players will alternate throws, adding an extra layer of strategy to every match. Scores from each match will be recorded and contribute to both individual and team rankings.
Hybrid Competition Format
Our league offers a unique hybrid format where participants compete both individually and as part of a team:
Individual Performance: Each player’s weekly scores will be tracked, and standings will be updated based on total points and win/loss records. Top individual performers will have the chance to claim the ultimate prize.
Team Competition: Players will also be grouped into teams. The combined scores of all team members will determine the team's overall standing. Teams will compete for a chance to win special recognition and team prizes.
Tournament Night
In the final week, the top-ranked players and teams will advance to a thrilling double-elimination tournament. This championship night will feature intense matches where the best of the best will face off to determine the overall league champions. Will you have what it takes to win it all and earn the title?
Scoring and Rankings
Points System: Points are scored based on the popular professional axe throwing target rules, where hitting the bullseye earns the most points, and hitting the outer rings scores fewer points. Kill Shots, available only on specific throws, can turn the tide with a high-risk, high-reward 8 points!
Standings: Each week, we’ll update the standings, showcasing individual and team rankings based on cumulative points and win/loss records. Stay sharp and consistent to climb to the top!

1. Do I need to have experience with axe throwing to join the league?
No experience? No problem! Our league is open to all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned throwers. Our friendly coaches will be on hand to provide guidance and help you sharpen your skills each week.
2. What is the format of the league?
The league runs for 8 weeks, with weekly matches every Thursday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Participants compete individually and as part of a team in a hybrid format. The 8th week is a championship night featuring a single-elimination tournament to crown the champions.
3. What’s included in the $20 per week fee?
Your weekly fee covers participation in the league, use of our premium throwing lanes and equipment, and access to our coaches for tips and guidance. It also includes entry into the final tournament night.
4. What should I wear?
We recommend comfortable clothing that allows for a full range of motion. Closed-toe shoes are required for safety reasons. If you want to get into the spirit, feel free to wear themed or team-related attire!
5. Can I bring my own axe?
Yes! If you have your own axe that meets the WATL (World Axe Throwing League) standards, feel free to bring it. If not, we provide high-quality axes for all participants at no extra cost.
6. How are teams formed?
You can register as a team or sign up individually. If you don’t have a team, no worries! We’ll assign you to one, so you can enjoy the camaraderie of team play while still competing for individual glory.
7. What happens if I miss a week?
If you miss a week, your team can still compete without you, but you won’t earn points for that week’s individual ranking. We encourage everyone to attend as consistently as possible, but we understand that life happens!
8. What is the scoring system?
The league follows the official WATL scoring system, where points are awarded based on where your axe lands on the target. Hitting the bullseye earns 6 points, and there are additional points for rings and Kill Shots. We’ll explain the rules in detail on the first night and have guides available each week.
9. What are the prizes for the league winners?
The top individual winner will take home a custom pro throwing axe, "The Horseman's Axe," specially crafted and themed for the league. Team champions will also be awarded special recognition and prizes, along with exclusive Sleepy Hollow-themed merchandise.
